Our Curriculum will have three pillars: Nature, Nurture and Knowledge.
Nature: Students will be learning in, about and through nature ensuring that they develop a love of the outdoors and a deeper understanding of their natural environment.
Nurture: Being happy and comfortable means students are ready to learn so we want to ensure that wellbeing is integrated throughout our day.
Knowledge: Students will be learning through an inquiry-led curriculum; we also really value learning through play. They will complete different projects that will have a student-led focus similar to those worked on within schools delivering the world-renowned, and highly regarded, International Baccalaureate. We will have daily sessions on Core Skills of reading, writing and number work accessed at their own level.
We will cover all of the skills from the Irish National Curriculum and so students should not find it difficult if they then choose to transfer to a traditional Secondary school.
Students will learn Gaeilge and Spanish as part of their learning, but also will experience all of the traditional curriculum subjects such as History, Geography, Science, Art, Drama, PE, SPHE as part of their inquiries or as stand-alone sessions.
